You can see more about our commitment to quality, state-of-the-art design tools, and customer satisfaction on our About Us page.

Who's That Handsome Devil?!

Mirror, mirror... who's the cutest (and most suspicious)?! πŸ˜‚

Like This (Pawsome!):

  • A hotel with a designated pet relief area.
  • A vacation rental with a big, fenced yard.
  • Restaurants with outdoor patios where well-behaved pups are welcome.
  • Hiking trails that allow dogs on leashes.
  • A welcome basket with dog treats and poop bags!

Not This (Ruff Times!):

  • A hotel with a long list of strict rules and extra fees for pets.
  • A rental with tiny, cramped spaces and no outdoor area.
  • Restaurants with "no dogs allowed" signs glaring at us.
  • Parks with "no dogs beyond this point" signs everywhere.
  • Humans who didn't check beforehand and now I have to stay behind! (The WORST!)

Trust me, putting in the time to get comfortable with this stuff beforehand makes the actual travel day so much smoother. No frantic shoving or stressed-out whimpering from me. It means more happy tail wags and more focus on the exciting smells out the window! So, humans, be patient and make it a positive experience for us. We'll thank you for it (mostly with slobbery kisses)!

On-Location Relaxation and Well-being

Keeping Things Familiar in a Strange New Place

Woof woof! We made it! New smells, new sights – it's all so exciting! But even for an adventurous pup like me, being in a brand new place can feel a little... weird at first. Everything smells different, the noises are unfamiliar, and sometimes I'm not quite sure where the best napping spots are yet.

That's why my human tries really hard to keep some things the same, even when we're on vacation. They call it "establishing a routine." Apparently, it helps me feel safe and secure when everything else is new and a little bit strange.

First thing's first: potty breaks! My human tries to stick to our usual schedule – right after waking up, after I eat, after playtime, and before bed. Knowing when I'm going to get a chance to do my business makes me a much happier traveler (and keeps things cleaner for my human!).

Then there's feeding time . My tummy doesn't know we're on vacation! It still rumbles at the same times every day. So, keeping meal times consistent helps me feel normal and keeps my energy levels steady for all the exploring we'll be doing. Plus, it means more predictable potty breaks – win-win!

Dog travel hydration: drinking from water bottle
Keeping your dog hydrated on the go is crucial for stress-free summer travel.

And of course, walkies! Even if the scenery is different, those regular strolls help me get my bearings, sniff out all the local gossip (you know, the really interesting smells!), and burn off some energy. It's also a great way for me and my human to spend quality time together in our new surroundings.

Even little things like having my familiar bed or blanket in our new sleeping spot makes a huge difference. It smells like home and reminds me that even though things are different, my safe place is still with me.

So, yeah, while exploring new places is super fun, having a little bit of our regular routine mixed in makes me feel much more relaxed and happy in our new digs. It's like a little piece of home away from home!

Sniff #8 (Wait, Lost Count Again!): My Very Own Home Away From Home!

Okay, we've arrived! New smells everywhere! While my adventurous nose wants to explore every nook and cranny, having my own safe and comfy spot in our new digs makes a HUGE difference in helping me relax and not feel overwhelmed. Think of it as my temporary den!

First things first: my bed or blanket ! Seriously, humans, don't forget this! It smells like me, it feels familiar, and it instantly makes any strange corner feel a little more like home. Whether it's in a hotel room, a vacation rental, or even a tent (if we're being super adventurous!), having my own designated snooze zone is key.

My human usually sets it up in a quiet corner, away from high-traffic areas where there's a lot of coming and going. This helps me feel secure and allows me to take a proper nap without being constantly disturbed by new sounds and movements.

If we're using my travel crate , that becomes my ultimate safe space. My human makes sure it's comfy inside with my blanket and maybe a favorite toy. It's my little doggy sanctuary where I can retreat if things get a bit too exciting or if I just need some alone time to process all the new smells.

Best part of arriving? All the extra snuggles with my human!

Having my food and water bowls in a consistent spot also helps. Knowing where my chow and water are makes me feel more at ease. Plus, it reminds my human when it's mealtime!

And you know what else makes a space comfy? My favorite toys ! A familiar squeaky toy or a chew bone can provide entertainment and comfort, especially during downtime. It's like bringing a little piece of home with us.

So, humans, when you arrive at your destination, take a little time to set up a special spot just for me. My bed, my blanket, maybe my crate – my very own home away from home. It'll help me relax, feel safe, and be the best travel buddy a human could ask for! Now, where's that comfy corner...?

Sniff #9 (Definitely Lost Count Now, Too Many Cool Smells!): Staying Cool and Hydrated – My Summer Survival Guide!

Whoa, summer heat can be intense! Even with all my fur, I can get hot and bothered pretty quickly. And trust me, a panting, drooling, and miserable me doesn't make for a fun vacation for anyone. So, listen up, humans, because keeping me cool and hydrated is super important – it could even save my life!

First things first: water, water, everywhere! My human is super good about this. They always have their stainless steel water bottle from Doggo Mojo, and guess what? They even got me my own special one! It's got my picture on it and everything, so everyone knows it's for the coolest traveler around. They always make sure it's filled with fresh, cool water, especially during car rides and when we're out exploring. We stop frequently, and my human always offers me a drink from my bottle. It's so much better than trying to share theirs!

And speaking of heat, hot cars are a HUGE no-no! I can't stress this enough. Remember what I said earlier? It gets like an oven in there, even with the windows cracked. My human would never leave me in a parked car on a hot day – and your humans shouldn't either!

We also try to plan our activities for the cooler parts of the day – early mornings and evenings are the best for long walks or hikes. During the hottest part of the day, we find shady spots to chill out and take it easy. Sometimes, my human even brings a cooling mat for me to lie on – it feels so good on a hot tummy!

And guess what? Some of us short-haired pups can even get sunburn! My human has this special doggy sunscreen for my nose and ears. It looks a little silly, but it keeps my sensitive skin protected.

Pavement can get scorching hot too! Imagine walking barefoot on hot asphalt – ouch! My paw pads are tough, but they can still get burned. My human always checks the pavement with their hand before we go for a walk. If it's too hot for them, it's definitely too hot for me! Sometimes, they even make me wear these funny little booties to protect my paws.

So, yeah, summer fun is great, but staying cool and hydrated is key to a happy and healthy trip for your furry best friend. Lots of water (maybe even in your own personalized Doggo Mojo bottle!), shady spots, and never, ever leave us in a hot car! Let's all have a cool and safe summer adventure!

"If everybody had a puppy 'cross the U.S.A., then everybody'd be surfin' like we're on holiday!"

(Okay, maybe not surfing for everyone, but definitely lots of happy adventures!)

Sniff #10 (Making Sure We're Good Ambassadors!): Being a Paw-lite Traveler

Okay, humans, this one is important for all of us furry adventurers. When we're visiting new places, we're like ambassadors for all the other cool dogs out there. We want to make a good impression so that everyone we meet thinks, "Wow, that's a well-behaved pup! They're welcome here anytime!"

That means it's super important for my human to know and follow the local rules and etiquette when we're traveling. Things like keeping me on a leash in designated areas – even if I'm super friendly and just want to say hi to everyone – are really important for safety and for respecting other people's space.

And those poop bags my human always carries? They're not just for decoration! Picking up after me is a big deal. Nobody wants to step in a landmine while they're enjoying their vacation. Leaving things clean helps keep everyone happy and keeps those "pet-friendly" signs staying up!

We also try to be mindful of noise. My excited barks might sound like happy greetings to my human, but they could be disruptive to others, especially in hotels or quiet neighborhoods. My human tries to keep my enthusiastic greetings to a reasonable volume.

Rocking my travel chic look! Gotta be safe and stylish for all those new smells!

And when we're at dog parks or other shared spaces, good manners are key! That means playing nicely with other dogs and listening to my human when they tell me it's time to move along.

My human always says we want to leave a good first and last impression. If we're well-behaved and respectful guests, it makes it more likely that other dogs will be welcome in those places in the future. So, let's all put our best paw forward and show the world what great travelers we can be! Happy (and polite) adventuring!

Post-Trip Adjustment: Back to My Favorite Spot (My Couch!)

Phew! What an adventure! All those new smells, sights, and exciting experiences can really tire a pup out. Even though I love exploring, there's nothing quite like coming back to my own comfy couch and my familiar routine at home.

The first few days after a trip, I might be a little more sleepy than usual. All that excitement takes a lot of energy! My human understands this and lets me catch up on my Zzz's. There might be a few extra long naps involved!

Sometimes, my tummy might feel a little off too, with all the different treats and maybe a slightly irregular eating schedule. My human keeps an eye on me and makes sure I get back to my regular food and plenty of fresh water.

And of course, after being on the go, there's nothing better than extra cuddles and attention from my human. It's like we're reconnecting after our big adventure. I usually stick close to them for a bit, just to soak up all the familiar love and comfort.

Woof... so many new smells... need nap now...

My human also keeps an eye out for anything that doesn't seem quite right. If I'm extra tired, not eating well, or seem a little under the weather, they know it's time for a visit to our regular vet to make sure I didn't pick up any little travel bugs.

But mostly, coming home is a happy time. It's the familiar smells, the cozy bed, and knowing we're back in our safe and comfortable space. It might take a day or two for me to fully recharge my batteries, but soon enough, I'll be back to my regular zoomies and ready for the next adventure (after a good long nap, of course!).

Got a Travel Woof-er? Let's Talk! (Q&A with Mojo)

My dog gets really anxious in the car. What can I do?

Mojo Says: Woof! Car anxiety is no fun. My human has found that bringing my favorite blanket and a chew toy helps. Sometimes, soft music can be soothing. For really worried pups, talk to your vet – they might have other helpful ideas! And those My Ride or Die tote bags? They're great for keeping all my calming essentials organized!

What's the best way to keep my dog hydrated on a long drive?

Mojo Says: Slurp! Water is super important, especially when it's hot. My human always has my personalized Doggo Mojo water bottle filled and ready. We stop often for water breaks, and those collapsible bowls are handy if your human has one (hint, hint!).

Are there any tips for finding truly pet-friendly hotels?

Mojo Says: Sniff around online! Look for places that specifically say "pet-friendly" and read the reviews from other humans with furry friends. Sometimes, calling the hotel directly to ask about their specific rules is a good idea. And make sure they have good potty spots nearby!

My dog barks a lot when we're in new places. How can I manage this?

Mojo Says: A little barking is just me saying "Hello, new smells!" But too much can be...ruff. My human tries to keep me busy with chew toys and makes sure I have a comfy, safe space (my crate or blanket) to retreat to. Consistent training commands can also help.

What are some must-have items to pack for my dog when traveling in the summer?

Mojo Says: Besides the obvious (food, water, leash, poop bags!), don't forget a cooling mat if your pup gets hot easily, and maybe even some doggy sunscreen for sensitive noses! And a Doggo Mojo tote bag to carry it all in style!

Is it ever okay to leave my dog alone in a hotel room?

Mojo Says: Hmm, this one depends. If I'm totally comfortable and have my safe space, and my human isn't gone for too long, maybe. But never leave us if we're stressed or might bark and disturb other guests. My human usually only leaves me for very short periods if they absolutely have to.

My dog gets car sick. Any advice?

Mojo Says: Ugh, tummy troubles are the worst! My human has found that a light meal before a trip can help. Facing forward and getting fresh air can also make a difference. If it's a regular problem, definitely talk to your vet.

How can I make sure my dog doesn't get overheated in the summer?

Mojo Says: Shade and water are our best friends! Avoid being out during the hottest part of the day, never leave us in a hot car (seriously, NEVER!), and offer water frequently. If I'm panting a lot or seem tired, it's time for a cool break.
